This 9:1 extract modified formula is based on Bi Qiu Tang (Sniveling Nose Decoction), which was originally developed by Dr. Wei Zi-zhang from the Guangxi College of Chinese Medicine First Affiliated Hospital. In this modification, Dry Rhizoma Zingiberis (Gan Jiang) has been used as a substitute for Herba Asari Cum Radice (Xi Xin) due to the presence of aristolochic acid in Xi Xin, which may have potential health risks. Additionally, Dr. Wei's optional ingredients have been included to address both clear, runny nose and stuffed nose symptoms.
